Ndumasi – I enjoyed the camp night hike. And rolling down the sand dunes. When I tripped and fell over I really got a fright. When I got to the bottom I found out that I had lost my  torch. When we got to the campsite I threw away the sweets I bought.

Mackenzie – Camp was very fun when we did the obstacles. When we went and did the night hike. When we made our own potjiekos. WHen we made the plays and when I left my mom and dad.

Ronin – I had fun at the Grade 5 camp. We did lots of work. I had fun at the Fun Run. I had fun making cars. It was fun when I was the first one up the sand dune at camp.

Brent – I will never forget about camp and leaving my mom. It was so fun. I actually forgot about school but when we came back we did more work.

Bradley – The camp was fun. The food wasn’t that nice but that didn’t ruin it for me. I liked swimming in the cold ocean. It was fun playing the games. I was sad to leave.

Jacques – I liked the Fun Run because there were so many rides and the Market Day because money = happy Jacques. The more happy I am the better I do.

Adam - On the camp I remember when I did the obstacle course and I won with my team. My hand got burnt when I was cooking the potjie in the potjiekos competition.

Andrew – Market Day because I made lots of money and there were lots of people.

Inge – 1) Making my outfit out of rubbish was lots of fun even though it was really hot inside the dress.
2) SA Day was tons of fun. Getting the outfit and everything else about that day was fun!
3) I loved making the car in N.S. but the batteries were flat
4) Having an awesome teacher like Mrs K is always an upside

Samantha – 1) Inning Day was fun.
2) Market Day was fun.
3) Exams were the best.
4) SA Day was super.
5) Camp was the bomb.

Kayleigh- 1) Having the BEST teacher ever.
2) Making our ridiculous recyclable outfits.
3) Doing the plays at camp.
4) Getting to go to the urban park.
5) Watching things on Youtube.

Melissa – My exams were a memory to me. They got my marks higher than they could be. My favourite was my technology exam. Because making stuff is who I am.

Tegan - I loved our camp. It was so fun especially since it was our first camp. I also made my first profit and made lots of money at Market Day. Our technology exam was so much fun too. We made our first ever recycled material outfit. But most of all we all love Mrs Keller. I loved her stories and listening about her life and family. I loved being a Keller child in the class. I really loved this year in Grade 5 and am going to have an even better grade next year.

Lauren – One of my favourite memories is definitely Mrs Keller’s funny stories from when she was a child.

Erin – My favourite memory was camp. Camp was so awesome. I loved the camp skits. I especially loved the tidal pool even though it was so cold. Most of all I love my teacher Mrs Keller.

Anna – I loved camp. It was sooo much fun. It was our first camp together. The night hike was my favourite! It was so fun. The obstacle course was really fun too. With all these things to climb and tunnels to crawl through. It was sooooo fun and will be a good memory.

Kayla – 1) Definitely Mrs Keller’s funny stories about her dad!
2) Camp was awesome, we played lots of games.
3) I had fun playing in the water.
4) We were in groups and my group was awesome
5) I also had fun watching the bird and snake show.

Jodi – My best memoryt of Grade 5 is definitely the San project where we all made a box containing the lifestyle of the San community.

Michaela – Grade 5 camp was so much fun. Not only was it running around, it was also educational. Some of the time it was a bit scary because we thought there was a robber. When we got there we chose our rooms. Ours was the best until I climbed on my bed and I nearly fell through – not because of my weight but because it was broken. We went to the beach and we cooked. We cooked potjiekos and it was delicious. Sadly we had to go but it was the best thing this year.

Kia – Camp was really cool. It was very fun and exciting because we spent a lot of time at the beach. I loved doing the campfire skit. Ours was really bad but it was still fun. I also enjoyed making a 3D jelly fish on the sand. At the end of the camp our group came last.

Tessa – Camp was AWESOME, despite all the fuss I loved it. The food was really delicious and the games were awesome. We had a lot of fun playing volleyball, cricket and watching the fish in the sea. The skit was a BIG fail for our group but it was still fun. We came 6th altogether but we still laughed because we knew our skit was TERRIBLE!

This has been an interesting task and required a lot of patience and perseverance. Well done, 5K. Your works of art are starting to take shape.

We measured out our solute (hot chocolate powder) and added our solvents (milk and hot water) to make a yummy solution!

While enjoying our hot chocolate, we played an Egyptian board game called Seega in pairs. It is similar to the well known game called Noughts and Crosses which exists today thanks to the Ancient Egyptians!

This week Tuesday the children painted and decorated their jars.
